The Hammers are now well backed in the last third and these moves, especially the move for Benni McCarthy, should help Carlton Cole generate some firepower for an anemic out put from the forward position. With the new depth, players like Freddie Sears and Frank Nouble will now see more time on the bench and in reserve action.
The new owners of David Sullivan and Gold came through on their promise to bring depth to the Striker position. Hopefully in the years to come they can come through again on their other promise, and ease the huge debt the team has tagged to the team.
With the match against Wolverhampton postponed again due to Wolve's involvement in the F.A. Cup, the newly aquired Hammers will get a little more time to build some chemistry with their new teammates.
Look out for the match on Saturday as West Ham tries to double up on Burnley. It will be an important one in the Irons fight against relegation.
